A digitális tér kinyílása ugyanakkor számos új segítségnyújtási típust hívott életre világszerte. A tanulmány szerzői ezekből készítettek egy összeállítást.
A Covid–19-pandémia számos kihívás elé állította a társadalmat. A tartós gondozási rendszereket érintő forráshiány, valamint a tárgyi és személyi feltételek hiányosságai miatt a járványhelyzet hazánkban különösen hátrányosan érintette a szektort, az otthoni gondozást végző családtagok pedig a korábbihoz képest is nehezebb helyzetbe kerültek. Tanulmányunkban ötven közlemény áttekintő elemzése (scoping review) nyomán olyan hazai és nemzetközi gyakorlatokat mutatunk be, melyek célja a családi gondozók támogatása. A téma a járványhelyzetet követően is aktuális. Több figyelmet érdemelne a terület szabályozása, valamint a családi gondozókat segítő szolgáltatások fejlesztése. E feladatokhoz a pandémia tapasztalatai fontos adalékokkal szolgálhatnak.

A nemzetközi szakirodalom nem rendelkezik egységes meghatározással a családi gondozást, illetve a gondozást végző személyt illetően, ugyanakkor a főbb fogalmak mutatnak némi átfedést.

Elkötelezetten interdiszciplináris megközelítésű, a Magyar Máltai Szeretetszolgálat tevékenységi köreihez szorosan kapcsolódó orgánum.
Etikai irányelveink a COPE tagságunkból is erednek.
